“Patsy Cline meets Nancy Sinatra but with more sass.”
– Tom Woodbury (http://www.tomwoodbury.com/)
Anita is an indie-folk-country singer-songwriter rooted in the red clay and candlelit evenings of Alamance County, North Carolina. She plays guitar, ukulele, and the occasional kazoo, weaving wide-ranging vocals through songs born of experience, dreams, nature, and hard-won joy. Her writing draws from folk, classic country, jazz, and blues; her voice is tangy and sweet, the kind that comforts you and breaks you open in the same breath.
“Music saved my life and lifted me above abuse. I want to show the world or at least my little world that you can survive and still come out with a smile and a story.”
