This weekend was simply awesome.  My roommate Meg and crew had a spectacular fiesta at our house out here at Way The Hell Out There.  I played lots of songs around the fire and in the house, but mostly around the fire… letting everyone know I have a show coming up tonight at 8pm-12am at Metropolis with Tom Woodbury.  I was hoping he’d come out and advertise with me, but he was up to his ears in computer cable, fiber optics, and the distant remnants of capos of the ancient days.

Yesterday we had a beautiful practice, after my belly was full of biscuits and grits I’d made for the overnight sleepers…  I arrived by surprise and then 4 hours later, it felt as if I’d only just began practicing with Tom, seriously time really does fly when you’re being badass and playing good music.  I’m really looking forward to the show tonight, I’m gonna put on my doll-face and honky tonk boots.  I’ll have a guitar and some ukes too. Tom’ll be there, Johanna’s makin’ some DEElicious yummies too.  ❤
